Black Arts in the City

Leveraging the Black Arts Consortium’s Chicago location, our Black Arts in the City programs provide Northwestern students and faculty with ample opportunities to attend performances, exhibitions, screenings, seminars, and discussions presented by arts organizations across the city. These outings encourage engagement with Black artistic practice beyond the walls of academia connecting our community to Chicago’s broader cultural landscape. Past partners and events have included the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Art Institute of Chicago, Black Harvest Film Festival, Gene Siskel Film Center, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Goodman Theater.
