Summer Institute
The Black Arts Consortium hosts an annual weeklong Summer Institute that brings together scholars and creatives from across the country through an open application process. Centered on a unifying theme, participants engage in critical discussion, creative exploration and collaborative work throughout the week. The Institute features lectures and conversations led by guest artists, scholars, and faculty, while also providing participants with opportunities to share and develop their own projects via peer workshops.
