Works-in-Progress

An integral part of the BAC’s mission to support inchoate and premiering works, our Works-in-Progress series provides a platform for students, faculty, post-doctoral scholars and artists untethered to the university system. Participants collaborate with the Black Arts Consortium to mount an event centered on their developing project-this can take the shape of a presentation, a reading, a performance, or a discussion. Through an open call for proposals, the series welcomes a wide range of creatives, offering them the chance to share their artistic undertakings with the world and gather feedback.
